Outline of Research Work

The interest of our group is everything reltaed to cloud and almost whole kinds of cloud systems, i.e., low-, mid- and high-level convective/stratiform water/ice clouds, cloud clusters and thunderstorms, usw. We are also interested in the interactions between air-sea, -land surface, -snow/ice, -topography, -ecosystem, and -culture. For this purpose we are studying dynamical and microphysical structures of Clouds and their formation and organization mechanisms by making use of remote sensing data, in situ data, and the output data of 3D mesoscale models. Without detailed observations of turbulence, microphysics, and radiation, we cannot evaluate and improve 3D cloud resolving mesoscale models. Further, we are interested in change, bahavior and transportation of aerosol, oxygen/hydrogen isotope, and chemical components caused by cloud systems.
