JR Saitozaki Station and Shikanoshima Port after the workshop.
Goals and Objectives:
Dust is definitely an important element of the circumstellar/interstellar medium in various astrophysical environment. It shall be targeted for various reasons from many fields of astronomy including sciences on planetary formation and on galaxy evolution. This "Grain Formation Workshop" has a long history nearly 35 years, where all dust grain topics from the experimental, theoretical and observational approaches are aimed to be presented and discussed.

Any research topics related to dust in
astrophysical environment are welcomed. We would basically welcome your
oral contributions but some might be assigned as poster presentations
depending on the number of participants. If you prefer to give a poster
presentation rather than an oral presentation please let us know when
you submit your registration/abstract submission form.
In order to attain sufficient time for discussion, we request all the participants to stay at the conference venue KYUKAMURA SHIKANOSHIMA .
The room reservations are made by the LOC automatically when your
registration/abstract submission form is submitted; The room fee is
11,000JPY/
night for shared rooms (3-4 people, including
breakfast and dinner). The room fee should be paid on site. We would
like to ask for your full participation (from the ~14:00 of 12th till
~12:00 of 14th) in this workshop.
All the presentation materials are prepared in English but will be spoken in Japanese.
